Deal Time For Locals

The single best theme park deal in maybe decades came and went in a flash this week. What deal? In honor ofAquatica's 5th birthday, SeaWorld offered $5 Tickets for March 1-3. How fast did they go? It hit the internet mid-afternoon on Wednesday, the 20th.  I ran the story on Local 6 News at 7. By the time I got home around 8:30pm, the only tickets available were for Friday, March 1st. The rest were gone Thursday morning. (Sorry guys -- several days worth of computer woes kept me from posting it here)

So -- congrats to those of you who snapped up those $5 tickets, but there are still plenty of great deals out there at the parks for Florida residents
SeaWorld'sannual FunCard in itself is one: $89 for a whole year of admission to the park.  That's about the cost of a 1-day ticket.

Keeping with the animal theme, Gatorland is offering $10 admission with a Florida ID -- a $15 savings per person. That runs through March 31st.

Disney's deal is pretty good, too. From now til June 7th -- you can buy and use a 3-day Discover Disney Ticket for $119, plus tax -- or make it a 4-day for $10 more.
That's a 1-day 1-park ticket -- no park-hopping. But it works out to $40 a day ($32.25 a day for the 4-day deal). That includes admission to Epcot's upcoming Flower & Garden Fest.

Legoland Floridahas dropped its annual-pass price for Florida residents -- to $99. That's $30 off -- and includes admission to the water park, free parking -- and  admission to sister parks nationwide, including Legoland California,Madame Tussauds  and Sea Life aquariums. Here's a link to more on that deal.

Finally -- don't forget Universal's Mardi Gras is in full swing -- and you can save there, too!

Florida Residents can purchase an "After 5:00pm" Ticket on any one Mardi Gras event date. It costs $59.99  if purchased in advance by calling 407-224-7840.
We can also save up to $25 on an annual pass if you buy online. Now you are supposed to buy a specially marked Coke can  to get  a special UPC code.  But several online sources say those codes are 049000055412 or 04968401. I can't verify that independently, so your mileage may vary.

Universal's Power Pass is always a great deal. $165 for a year at both parks (though parking is not included)

Hope those deals can save you some money.
