Man drags 6-foot shark away from swimming toddlers
Heroic act caught on vidoe by local TV crew
A British man is being called a hero after saving a group of toddlers from a shark off the coast of Australia.
Paul Marshallsea, 62, was barbecuing when he heard screams and spotted a 6-foot shark approaching dozens of toddlers who were swimming in shallow water.
Marchallsea rushed into the sea and grabbed the shark by its tail, dragging it away.
The heroic act was caught on video by a local television crew that happened to be filming the beach.
"I got hold of his tail and pulled with all my might to get the shark back into deep enough water," Marchallsea told a reporter. "My instincts took over and I just grabbed the shark by the tail."
Marshallsea was praised by the Coast guard for his bravery.
