A body was found Tuesday morning in a ditch along an Edgewater road, and police say the death could have been the result of a domestic violence incident between a father and a son.
The body of 45-year-old Keith R. Lhommedieu was discovered around 7 a.m. in the 2200 block of Kumquat Drive.
A preliminary investigation by the medical examiners officer revealed that Lhommedieu had a possible gunshot wound, but an autopsy will confirm an exact cause of death, according to police.
Edgewater police said they believe the incident is an "isolated family tragedy" between Lhommedieu and his 65-year-old father, James E. Lhommedieu.
Police deemed the neighborhood is safe and said residents have reason to be concerned for their safety.
No other details, including whether charges will be filed, have been released.
