Daytona Beach police are investigating an early morning shooting that left one man shot in the stomach.
Police said the shooting happened around 5:37 a.m.on Forest Glen Boulevard.
Police said a resident on Forest Glen Boulevard heard a gunshot and when he went outside, he saw someone lying on the ground, face down.
Police said the witness saw a bicycle laying on the ground nearby and a car speeding away from the scene.
Police said the witness grabbed his cellphone and tried to help the identified as Joseph Ruffing, Daytona Beach, while calling 911.
When paramedics arrived, they saw Ruffing had been shot in the stomach while riding his bicycle, then tried to run, police said.
Police said this is not Bike Week related.
Ruffing was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police said they are still looking for the shooter(s).
