A woman was arrested Tuesday in a Daytona Beach shooting that left a man critically wounded, according to police.

Jasmine Jones, 23, was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

The shooting occurred at an apartment in the 800 block of Pinewood. According to Daytona Beach police, officers were called to the area to investigate a shooting and found a man who had been shot at least once.

The man was taken to Halifax Hospital in critical condition.
