SUMMERFIELD, Fla. -

A Marion County woman is hoping someone will recognize a man she believes has been breaking into her Summerfield barn and sexually assaulting her miniature show horses.

Abby Conder, the owner of the barn, tells Local 6 surveillance video from her barn shows the intruder breaking in early Sunday morning at around 3:30 a.m. but not doing anything to the animals that night.

But she said she believes he's responsible for injuring several of her horses on earlier visits.

"I'm very worried about my horses. I'm worried this man is very psychotic because the attacks have been getting more brutal," Conder said.

She said back in August, she discovered one of her show horses, worth between $50,000 and $200,000 was missing from its stall and was restrained outside of the barn bleeding.

Since then, two other horses have been assaulted similarly in December and she thinks the intruder is responsible.

"He is enjoying coming into my barn, taking my "cream of the crop" show horses out of the barn to do this to," Conder said.

After one of the attacks, Conder bought a guard dog and she said the next night, she found the dog beaten to death in the barn, while another horse had been brutalized outside.

"I don't believe he'll stop even with this being on the news," Conder said. "I think he's too at home in here. I think he's still going to come into this barn at night."
