DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -

Volusia County deputies arrested five at a Daytona Beach Extended Stay Hotel on Thursday night who they say were involved with cooking methamphetamine, and two of the men were in the same room as a baby.

Christopher Stevens, 30, and Henry Williams, 26, were arrested and charged with trafficking and manufacturing methamphetamine, along with child endangerment, after a tip led authorities to hotel room on Bill France Boulevard.

When deputies arrived, they smelled a strong chemical odor and found the men throwing materials in the toilet and garbage, according to the arrest affidavit. Stevens told deputies that Williams would give him $50 to come over and use his room to cook and sell the meth.

Stevens said his girlfriend, later identified as Lauren Cyr, usually left with the child while they are cooking but that he "really needed the money" and it was "an easy way to make money," according to the report. Deputies said the room at the hotel is registered to Cyr's name.

Cyr, 34, was also arrested on outstanding warrants.

Deputies also busted another meth lab in the hotel room downstairs and charged Todd Kwiatkowski, 44, with manufacturing and possession of meth and Victoria Brown, 28, with principal to manufacturing meth, according to the report.
