Mother arrested for DUI with 3 kids in car
Deputies: Summerfield woman 3 times over legal limit
Deputies say a Summerfield woman was arrested for DUI Thursday morning with three kids also in the vehicle.
The Marion County Sheriff's Office said Kimberly Noelle Martin, 26, was arrested just after 4 a.m. on Thursday on three separate charges.
Deputies said they received a call about a drunk driver at a convenience store. A witness told deputies, Martin "came speeding into the parking lot and slammed on the brakes in front of the gas pumps."
The witness could smell the alcohol and could see three small children in the back seat of the car, said deputies.
Deputies said the witness was able to get the car keys from Martin.
Martin failed all field sobriety exercises conducted by a MCSO sergeant. Later, Martin blew a .21 on the breathalyzer, three times the legal limit.
According to MCSO, the ages of the three children were 9 years old, 6 years old and six months old. While searching Martin, deputies also found oxycodone tablets.
Martin has been charged with possession of oxycodone, tampering with evidence and DUI in the presence of children under 18.
