Jury selection began Monday in the first-degree murder case of a Seminole County woman accused of strangling her 2-year-old daughter.
Police say Nioshka Bello killed her daughter, Janessa, in September 2009.
A judge ruled in March that a confession made by Bello can be used at trial. Bello's defense argued that she made the confession after taking several pill of Benadry and Tylenol. Court psychiatrists, however, said Bellow knew what she was saying.
"She is emotional when she is recounting the murder of her child, she never complained about not understanding anything," a prosecutor said.
Opening statements will begin after a jury is seated.
