Orlando police investigate attempted kidnapping

Child, under age of 10, is OK, police say

ORLANDO, Fla. -

Authorities are investigating an attempted kidnapping that took place Friday morning.

Orlando police said a child under the age of 10 was involved in the incident, which occurred around 8:15 a.m. in the 2400 block of 27th Street near Interstate 4 and Rio Grande Avenue in Orlando.

The child is OK, officials said.

Orlando police, who initially responded to the incident, said the case will be investigated by the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

No other details were immediately known.
