Jennifer Lopez purchased winning ticket at 7-Eleven
The Florida Lottery announced Thursday that a 28-year-old woman from Orlando claimed a $500,000 prize in the $3 million Monopoly Scratch-Off game.
Jennifer Lopez, 28, purchased her winning ticket at a 7-Eleven convenience store, located at 5203 South Conway Road in Orlando.
Lopez and her family said they were eager to make the trip to Tallahassee to claim their winning at the Florida Lottery headquarters.
"We have won smaller amounts in the past, but never thought we would win a prize this large," Lopez said. "We were so happy we couldn't fall asleep last night."
The $20 Scratch-Off game, $3 million Monopoly, launched on March 16, 2012 and offers more than $378 million in prizes, according to the Florida Lottery. There are currently two $3 million top prizes and two $500,000 prizes remaining.
