OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. -

Osceola County Sheriff's detectives are searching for a man they say approached a 13-year-old girl and tried to lure her away to go with him.

Deputies said on Feb. 1, the suspect approached the girl near Seven Dwarf's Lane and W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway.

The girl told deputies she was waiting for her mother to pick her up when the man drove into the parking lot and tried talking to her.

Police said the suspect told the girl he was new to the area and if she would get in his car and go get something to eat.

The girl responded to the suspect by saying her mother was in the parking lot and pointed at a vehicle, police said.

The suspect then drove away in a green or maroon Ford Explorer.

According to police, the suspect is described as a white male in his mid-30's, bald with a thin beard and goatee. He was wearing Aviator sunglasses and a red silk long sleeved shirt with a black tie.

Contact the Osceola County Sheriff's Office at 407-348-2222 if you have any information on the suspect's whereabouts.
