Central Florida Panera Bread locations will be launching a two-day event to raise money to assist local kids treated at Greater Orlando Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Operation Lemon-aid For Kids, a two-day event, debuts July 27.
The popular bakery style cafes will be offering home-style lemonade for $1 per cup between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Panera will match donations dollar for dollar.
In addition to Operation Lemon-aid for Kids, all the money collected through the Operation Dough-Nation boxes during the month of July will be donated to Greater Orlando Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and matched dollar for dollar as well.
The campaign will allow the hospitals, including Arnold Palmer Medical Center and Shands Hospital for Children at the University of Florida, to maintain and upgrade pediatric programs to provide young patients with the most advanced medical treatment available.
“We are so appreciative of the support and commitment the Central Florida Panera Bread Cafe’s have made to children in our community to ensure they receive the best healthcare possible,” said Rebekah Swyers, Greater Orlando Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
“When guests give a dollar or more during Operation Lemon-Aide For Kids, they will be making a donation that 100 percent benefits Arnold Palmer Medical Center and Shands Hospital for Children at the University of Florida," Swyers said.
