A 34-year-old man was arrested in Leesburg on suspicion of recording video of a woman changing clothes inside a Target dressing room.
Bryan Thomas Drey, of Leesburg, was Tuesday arrested on a charge of video voyeurism.
According to Leesburg police, a woman was trying on some dresses and bikinis when she noticed a device holding what appeared to be a camera coming from a rectangular hole leading to the adjacent fitting room.
The woman tried to grab the device, but it was pulled back into the other fitting room, police said.
The woman got dressed and alerted an employee, police said. A loss prevention officer then found the man, later identified as Drey, inside the fitting room, police said.
Drey initially told officers that he did not record the woman, but he later confessed after two devices with cameras were found behind a mirror in the fitting room, Leesburg police said.
Drey also admitted to recording other women on several occasions during the last year, police said.
Drey was arrested and taken to the Lake County Jail, where he was released on $2,000 bond.
Local 6 spoke to Target shoppers who said the incident has them on edge at all department stores.
"A lot of these department stores, you can go into their fitting rooms and no one is around," said Beth Blackstone. "With Target at least they have someone there at the fitting room."
