ST. CLOUD, Fla. -

A man was shocked with a stun gun and beaten early Monday in a violent St. Cloud home invasion, according to police.

The attack occurred around 12:30 a.m. Monday at a home on Carolina Avenue in St. Cloud.

According to police, three men entered the home and demanded money from a man inside.  During the incident, one of the culprits shocked the resident and struck him several times in the head, causing multiple lacerations, police said.

Officers attempted to stop a vehicle nearby, but one man fled, police said.  The man, Cletus Duane Motley, was caught by officers after Motley hit one of them in the head, according to police.

The vehicle drove off, and the other two men have not been located.

Motley was arrested on charges of burglary to an occupied structure, burglary with a battery therein, false imprisonment, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, robbery, grand theft, resisting with violence and battery on a law enforcement officer.

Motley also had outstanding warrants for his arrest.
