Melbourne police are searching for the man they say broke into a florist shop and tried to steal a floral arrangement.
Police said the man was spotted at Eau Gallie Florist on Highland Avenue on Wednesday leaving the business with a floral arrangement. The owner's son confronted the burglar, who ran away.
The man appeared to have pried into the cooler attached to the business and stole a floral arrangement, police said. The man grabbed roses and hydrangeas valued at about $125, the owner said.
He is described as 30 to 40 years old, weighing 175 to 200 pounds with a large tattoo on his upper right arm, according to a release.
