Shooter sought in incident, police say
Orlando police are searching for the culprit they say fired shots at kids playing basketball Friday morning in Orlando.
According to police reports, a person in a white Dodge fired shots at kids on the basketball court at the John H. Jackson Community Center Park on Carter Street at 3:30 a.m. Friday.
Police said a man told them a juvenile hid a gun in the hedge area near the basketball court, where a Ruger handgun, with a 22-caliber round and a magazine. Five 9 milimeter bullet shells were also discovered on Woods Avenue.
No suspect information has been released. The incident is under investigation.
