ORLANDO, Fla. -

Drivers found themselves caught in the middle of a police pursuit Thursday night in Orlando.

Police told Local 6 that the pursuit started after a driver failed to pull over for officers while driving on State Road 408.

The pursuit ended when the driver crashed into two other vehicles at the intersection of Orange Blossom Trail and West Anderson Street.

The driver was taken into custody but was transported to a hospital before being taken to jail, authorities said.

Police said a woman who was in another car was also hurt, but is going to be OK.

Police have not said why the driver fled from their patrol cars.
