FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -

The search is on for a man who police say randomly attacked another man at a popular Fort Lauderdale beach bar.

Police recently released surveillance images of the April 15 incident at the Bahia Cabana Restaurant.

Detective Travis Mandell says the victim was sitting in his chair when a man came up and "started throwing haymakers."

When it was over, 39-year-old Robert Werner was covered in blood. The South Florida SunSentinel reports Werner lost two teeth and his face was cut so badly that he needed stitches.

Warner told the newspaper he was at the bar with friends when a man started some "tough-guy talk." He says he remembers excusing himself from the conversation before he was pummeled.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police.
