TITUSVILLE, Fla. -

Two injured sea turtles were returned to their natural habitats near Titusville Tuesday morning after they were rescued and treated by SeaWorld Orlando's Animal Rescue Team.

The first turtle, a large, 140 pound loggerhead, was rescued from Melbourne Beach in February with an injury to its shell, likely caused by a boat strike. The turtle received a health assessment and treatment, including blood work, x-rays and antibiotics. Wounds to the turtle's shell have since healed, however a portion of its shell was lost in the process.

The second, smaller green turtle was found beached at Canaveral National Seashore with wounds to both its front flippers and neck caused by fishing line. The turtle received a health examination and its wounds were treated weekly until being cleared for return to its natural environment.
