Report: UCF 'sugar daddy,' 'baby' community growing
Students trading 'companionship' for tuition
The University of Central Florida is home to one of the fastest growing communities for "sugar daddies" and "sugar babies," according to a new report.
SeekingArrangement.com -- a web site that helps "sugar daddies" meet "sugar babies" -- ranked UCF as the fourth fastest-growing sugar baby school in the nation. Three other Florida universities made the list:
- 5. University of South Florida
- 7. Florida International University
- 14. Florida State University
A "sugar daddy" or "sugar momma" is a professional businessman or businesswoman who serves as a "mentor, sponsor or benefactor" to a younger man or woman, according to SeekingArrangement.com. In return, the younger person -- referred to as a "sugar baby" -- offers companionship.
According to SeekingArrangement.com, 291 students at UCF use the web site and 221 students joined in 2012.
The top ten sugar baby universities in the country are:
