Wal-Mart will be testing same-day delivery in select markets in an attempt to cater to online shoppers for the upcoming holiday season.
CBS reports that Wal-Mart, the world's largest retailer, seeks to compete with Amazon.com, which is also testing same-shipping.
Wal-Mart's started testing same-day delivery this month in northern Virginia and Philadelphia, and will launch same-day delivery Minneapolis on Tuesday. Wal-Mart plans to test the service in San Francisco and San Jose, California later this month or in early November, according to CBS.
The same-day delivery allows customers to place their orders until noon and they can then choose a four-hour window to receive the delivery that day.
