Ocala police say 18-year-old's boyfriend is possible suspect

OCALA, Fla. -

A teen mother was found dead Thursday inside an Ocala home, and police said her boyfriend is a possible suspect.

The body of Shankera Smith, 18, was found inside a home on Southwest First Street.

Ocala police said Joseph Dennis was arrested after officers went to his home and found a gun.  He faces charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

No other details were immediately known.
