ORMOND BEACH, Fla. -

Ormond Beach police say they are investigating an attempted carjacking that occurred Tuesday morning at the Sunshine Car Wash.

Police said a 17-year-old was approached by two young men who implied they had a weapon and attempted to pull the teen out of the vehicle and take his keys. No weapon was seen, said police.

The teen fought back and managed to get into his vehicle, described by police as a 2005 Porsche SUV, and drove away. He went directly home, and his parents called the police.

The two assailants were described by the teen as in their late teens to early 20s. One of the culprits wore a black leather coat and blue jeans and the other wore a red basketball shirt and black shorts.

Police said the men fled on foot after the attempted carjacking.
