ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. -

Altamonte Springs police have arrested two teens they say are responsible for $10,000 worth of damage to school property.

Police said a 17-year-old boy and 18-year-old Dennis Fitzgerald have been charged with burglary to a structure and criminal mischief after police say the teens vandalized Lake Brantley High School last week.

Police said the teens pried their way into the gym and vandalized rooms inside, causing more than $10,000 worth of damage on Friday. On Sunday, officers were called to the high school again after the teens broke into the baseball locker room and shed, stealing Muzino gym shoes and two starter pistols.

The following day, police said Lyman High School reported a similar vandalism, leading officers to identify the teens as suspects.

On Tuesday, the teens struck again at Merrill Park, according to police. Police said the teens attempted to pry open concession stand doors, causing $2,000 worth of damage.

Fitzgerald was taken to Seminole County jail and the juvenile was taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center.
