ORLANDO, Fla. -

The average price for a gallon of gas in Orlando is up 30 cents from last month, and the increases are being seen all over the state.

Rosanne Buccheri of Palm Coast made the two hour drive to Orlando for her son's cardiologist appointment, and says she's feeling the higher prices at the pump.

"This was our first trip, and we may have to take a second trip, so we would have to travel back," she said,

The prices are only expected to keep climbing. A deadly explosion at Venezuela's largest refinery this weekend, as well as Tropical Storm Isaac closing down refineries in the gulf, are what's driving up the prices, according to Jessica Brady, AAA spokesperson.

The average price of gas in Orlando is $3.64 a gallon, 15 cents more than last year.

The highest Orlando price on Monday: $3.79 at the Sunoco on Edgewater Drive & W. Winter Park Street.

The lowest price- $3.57 at the WaWa on North John Young Parkway.

"We're keeping our fingers crossed for it to go down, and only because of the travel," said Buccheri.
