(CNN) -- Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff said Tuesday her government had asked the U.S. government for assurances after claims it carried out electronic spying on Brazilian citizens. She said Brazil would put forward proposals at the United Nations aimed at preventing the manipulation of cyberspace "as a weapon of war," and regulating states' behavior online.
