Customers at a Kissimmee home improvement store grabbed two-by-fours and garden tools to defend a cashier after a robber held a pair of scissors to his throat.

The robbery, which occurred Thursday, was caught on camera at the Lowe's Home Improvement store on Pleasant Hill Road.

The video shows the robber walking up to the cashier, grabbing him around the neck and putting a pair of scissors to his throat.

Eventually, customers grabbed items in the store and chased the robber out of the store.

Osceola County sheriff's deputies said the man was arrested after he tried to carjack a truck and then stole a golf cart.

No one was injured in the incident.

The man, identified as 20-year-old Milton Hodges, was arrested on charges of attempted armed robbery, three counts of attempted battery and conveyance burglary.
