West Melbourne's police chief could soon be out of a job.
City leaders voted 4 to 3 Tuesday night to start termination proceedings for Chief Brian Lock.
He's been under fire for how he handled a 2009 situation in which a police commander is accused of stealing pain pills from an evidence room.
Lock has been the police chief for more than 20 years.
