A man in a wheelchair was taken to a hospital after being struck by a car in a hit-and-run crash in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened around 2:05 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Goldenrod Road and Eastbrook Boulevard.

FHP spokeswoman Kim Montes said the pedestrian suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Florida Hospital East.

No other details were immediately known.
