ORLANDO, Fla. -

Two women were pulled from an Orlando house fire and hospitalized Friday morning, and witnesses say they heard an explosion before the blaze erupted.

At least one of the women and a family dog were both killed in the fire, which broke out around 6 a.m. at 5708 Dogwood Drive, near state roads 408 and 436 in Azaelea Park.

Both women were taken to hospitals after emergency workers performed CPR on them.

Orange County fire officials said they were called, possibly by a driver passing by the home, and found the house ablaze.  Flames were shooting through the roof of the home before firefighters extinguished the blaze.

The fire started in the back of the house, according to officials, who said there were oxygen tanks found inside the home.

The state fire marshal has confirmed the cause of the fire was electrical.
