ORLANDO, Fla. -

Construction on State Road 528 begins Wednesday night and could affect the morning commute for the next two days.

Crews are working on E-PASS and other equipment at the Dallas Boulevard Mainline Plaza.  Dallas Boulevard is about eight miles east of Orlando International Airport, near Hal Scott Regional Preserve and Park.

On Wednesday, crews will work on the westbound side of the Beachline Expressway from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Thursday morning.  All westbound traffic will be diverted through a single cash lane at the plaza.

On Thursday, crews will switch to the eastbound side of S.R. 528.  Construction will happen from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Friday morning.  Once again, all eastbound traffic will go through a single lane.

The two-day project is a part of the $22 million Dallas Mainline Plaza project.  The plaza will feature four express lanes and eight cash lanes.  Work on the overall project is expected to be completed by March.
