A Rockledge house fire leaves a family without a home on Christmas

The Rockledge Fire Department's Public Information Officer says the home was a total loss.

ROCKLEDGE, Fla. -- A family of three were displaced after a fire erupted on Wednesday morning  inside their home.

The fire happened at a home on Bernice Road, right before 10 o'clock.

There were 2 adults and a teen, along with three dogs, inside the home when the fire broke out.

All three people got out safely, along with one dog. Two of the family's dogs are still missing.

According to firefighters, there was some type of domestic dispute before the fire started.

The State Fire Marshall is investigating the incident.
