Affidavit: St. Cloud athletic director didn't sell students drugs

Arrest report released on Matthew Milton, 30

ST. CLOUD, Fla. – The St. Cloud athletics director who was arrested on drug charges last week has not been selling drugs to students, according to an arrest report released on Thursday.

Matthew W. Milton, 30, was bragging about his position as the school's athletic director and head wrestling  coach as he organized a drug deal at the Soldier City Saloon, according to police.

Parents were originally worried that Milton was selling to their children at the school when he was arrested last Friday and charged with sale and delivery of cannabis with intent to sell or deliver.

According to the report, Milton sold marijuana to an undercover agent with the Kissimmee Police Department back in April. He had intended to sell her cocaine, telling her he had a "buddy coming by with party favors."

Milton then introduced the agent to the drug dealer, who hasn't been caught yet, according to the report. Milton wasn't there for the transaction between the drug dealer and agent.

Milton has been with Osceola County Schools for nearly six years. Besides serving as an athletic director at St. Cloud High School, Milton has also been a dean.
