After cold start to week, Central Florida warms up

Temperatures return to 80s in Orlando area

ORLANDO, Fla. - After starting out with wind chills in the teens across parts of Central Florida the previous day, Tuesday morning's temperatures started out in the 40s.

"By the afternoon, south winds will kick up to near 25 mph," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "Those south winds will bring in more warm air."

The afternoon temperatures will reach the upper 70s in Orlando, and there's a slight rain chance overnight.  The low will dip into the mid-50s.

The high on Wednesday will be in the mid-70s.

By the end of the week through the weekend, high temperatures will warm into the 80s.

Rain chances return to 30 percent by Sunday.
