Altamonte Springs police search for man in armed robberies

Recent armed robbery at Walgreens could be connected to others in Orlando

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. -

Altamonte Springs police are searching for an armed robber who held a Walgreens clerk at gunpoint.

Police said the man went to the Walgreens at State Road 436 Friday morning and went to purchase a package of M&Ms, then pointed a gun at the clerk. He got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police believe the robbery could be related to several others, including one at a 7-Eleven in Maitland, a Cumberland Farms and a CVS in Orlando.

The man was described as a light skin to medium skin black male between the ages of 20 and 30 years old, 6 feet tall, stocky build, and very clean shaven, according to police.  He was wearing a baseball cap and had on a long-sleeved shirt and jeans.
