Arrest made in stabbing on Cocoa Beach

Police continue to investigate beach stabbing

COCOA BEACH, Fla. – A 50-year-old man was arrested in the stabbing of another man on Cocoa Beach.

David Robert Laudahl, of Cocoa Beach, was arrested Tuesday on attempted second-degree murder charges.

Cocoa Beach police were called around 6:45 p.m. Monday to the beach end of Hendry Avenue and found a man who had been stabbed several times.

The man was airlifted to Holmes Regional Hospital in Melbourne with critical injuries.

Police said Laudahl was later arrested and taken to the Brevard County Jail.
