Arrests made in Leesburg internet cafe robbery

Deputies seek third suspect

LEESBURG, Fla. – Two men have been arrested and one man is at large in connection with an armed robbery at an internet cafe in Leesburg, according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said Wilfredo "ChillyWilly" Rivera-Diaz, 48, and another man who has not yet been identified entered Dreamers Internet Café on Highway 27 around 4 a.m. May 15. Both men were wearing masks over their faces and dark clothing and the unidentified man was armed with a small black pistol, according to the arrest report.

The men demanded cash, took the cashier's iPhone and pistol-whipped the woman in the face, deputies said. Rivera-Diaz's mask came off several times during the robbery, which exposed his face to the surveillance camera, according to the affidavit.

Deputies said that after the robbery, Rivera-Diaz met with  Emmitt Kirby Jr., 59, who is accused of planning and arranging the crime. The men gave Kirby $400 in stolen cash after the robbery, the report said.

Rivera-Diaz is charged with two counts of robbery with a firearm and simple battery. Kirby is charged with principal to robbery with a firearm.

Deputies said the third man is approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds.
