A man and a woman have been arrested in connection with the beating of an autistic teen at a party after a video went viral over social media.
Police say the 16-year-old victim was invited to the party, got drunk and passed out. When victim woke up, some of the teens tried to get him to fight someone outside, according to the report.
When the victim refused, police say the teens called in 18-year-old Andrew Wheeler, who began hitting him, choked him and threatened him with a knife.
Police found the victim, who suffered a concussion among other injuries, laying in the street. He is expected to be OK.
Wheeler, who was captured on video beating the teen, has been charged with child abuse. Evadeen Daley, the mother of the girl who had the party, has been arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of the minor. Daley's voice was also captured on the video, according to police.
Police say they have completed arrest paperwork on other teens at the party, which will be given to the Juvenile Justice Department, to determine whether to press charges.
