'Batman,' 3 other gunmen sought in Orlando home invasion

Family tied up, robbed at gunpoint in Pine Hills

ORLANDO, Fla. – Four masked gunmen, one of whom was wearing a Batman mask, kicked in the door of an Orlando home early Friday and robbed a family of four, but deputies say they hit the wrong house.

The robbery occurred around 1 a.m. on Rolling Oak Drive in Pine Hills.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, the intruders were looking for drugs and tied up the family, including two children whose ages were not released.  Deputies said one gunmen stood watch over the family while the others ransacked the home.

After the gunmen didn't find any drugs, they stole a purse, an iPad and some iPhones, deputies said.

The family was later able to untie themselves and the father went to a neighbor's house to call for help, according to deputies.

Neighbor Camille Dixon told Local 6 the father knocked on her door, but she didn't know the man was seeking help.

"That would scare the fire out of me.  I don't know what I would've done if they broke into (my home)," Dixon said.

The only description they were able to provide is that one of the men was wearing a Batman mask.

Deputies said they believe the intruders went to the wrong home and the family was not targeted.  Investigators said they may be able to use the stolen Apple products to track down the robbers.
