A Central Florida teen accused of underage drinking on Daytona Beach was arrested on several charges after being shocked with a stun gun several times by a beach patrol officer.
Christopher Schulz, 19, of Ocala, was arrested Thursday on charges of battery on a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct, resisting an officer with violence and resisting arrest without violence.
According to Volusia County Beach Safety and Ocean Rescue, a large group of teens were drinking on the beach when two beach patrol officers approached them.
Officials said the officers warned the students that drinking is not allowed on the beach, and some of them became aggressive and belligerent.
When one of the officers tried to arrest Schulz, he became combative, prompting the officer to shock him with a stun gun.
Schulz and two others were arrested.
When contacted by Local 6, Schulz's family refused to comment about the incident.
