Boater's body recovered in Lake Toho

Empty boat prompts search in Kissimmee

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The body of a missing boater was recovered Wednesday morning in Lake Toho, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Wildlife officials launched a search on the Kissimmee lake after an empty boat was found around 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Witness told officials they saw someone in the boat around 6:30 p.m., and FWC said the boat looked as though someone had been aboard it.

A search Tuesday night was halted because of weather.

No other details were released.
