Body of Christian Aguilar found; Pedro Bravo charged with 1st-degree murder

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - A body found in rural Levy County was positively identified as Christian Aguilar, a University of Florida student who was last seen on September 20.

Gainesville police spokesman Ben Tobias said Aguilar, 18, was identified Monday using dental records. Further tests are planned to determine the cause of death.

Christian Aguilar was last seen in Gainesville with his friend, 18-year-old Pedro Bravo, who has been charged with first-degree murder.

Police say Bravo told them he beat Aguilar unconscious and left him in a parking lot. Both Bravo and Aguilar are from Miami.
