TITUSVILLE, Fla. – A body discovered in a pond Wednesday in Titusville has been identified as that of a missing Brevard County Corrections deputy.
Darryl Conner had last been seen early Sunday at the Super 8 Motel on Garden Street in Titusville, according to police. Officials on Wednesday morning blocked off State Road 406 near Interstate 95 after his body was discovered.
No other details about the discovery have been released.
Family members previously told investigators that Conner was a Type 2 diabetic and was in need of insulin.
"My dad was my everything, he meant so much to me," said Conner's daughter, D'Nita Conner. "I thank God that I do have some closure it is hard, it's so hard to deal with."
