'Bold' man spotted on several surveillance cameras in Wekiva

Man is believed to be checking car door handles

APOPKA, Fla. – People in the Wekiva community caught a man on camera who was walking up into a driveway, in between two cars. On tape, you can watch as he tries to open the door on one vehicle before checking the next handle.

"(It’s) very bold to come into the driveways and check vehicles like that," said Tim Fitzgerald, a neighbor.

Fitzgerald believes this is the same man he caught on his surveillance video, walking up to his neighbor’s car with what looks like a flashlight.

"He came across the street (and) checked every car,” Fitzgerald said. “He didn't cut through the grass.”

The community has come together on Facebook to find this man, Fitzgerald said.

Another person caught a man cutting through his or her yard.

One neighbor even posted a picture of the man, standing next to a car in another driveway. His shorts look oddly similar to the man’s shown in the video.

Neighbors said everyone needs to lock up at night.

"We need to pay attention as a community and focus on what's happening and be more involved," Fitzgerald said.

The same man was spotted on several surveillance cameras in the neighborhood. If you have any information, call police.
