BUNNELL, Fla. - The Flagler County courthouse was evacuated Friday afternoon because of a bomb threat, deputies say.
The Flagler County Sheriff's Office responded to the report of a bomb threat at the Kim C. Hammond Justice Center in Bunnell just after 12:30 p.m. Friday.
The courthouse was evacuated, and employees and those inside were moved to the Government Services Building next door.
Deputies said all employees and occupants of the courthouse were accounted for and no injuries were reported.
Deputies conducted a preliminary search of the building and did not find anything suspicious.
Authorities said two K-9 deputies from the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office responded, and helped search the building and the parking lot areas. The K-9s that assisted are specially trained in explosive detection, deputies said.
At 3:15 p.m. Friday deputies said employees of the courthouse were informed they could leave as the courthouse was closed for the remainder of the day.
"We take all matters such as these very seriously," said Flagler County Sheriff James Manfre. "We are grateful that no one was harmed and nothing was located."
Deputies said the investigation continues as detectives try to determine where the phone call originated from.
