Braves from Boone travel to Freedom in ClickOrlando.com High School Game of the Week

ORLANDO, Fla. – This week's ClickOrlando.com High School Game of the Week was the Braves from Boone traveling to district foe Freedom.

Boone scored on their first drive. Quarterback Calvin Smith called his own number and scampered for the 30-yard touchdown, putting the Braves up 7-0 early.

Freedom would respond on their first possession. Quarterback Jimmy Kealy hooked up with his tight end Luke Fielder, but Fielder would get stripped on the 5 yard line. Luckily, Jonathan Boone was there to take the fumble an extra 5 yards, tying the game at 7 going into the 2nd quarter.

The Patriots kept the passing game going throughout the 2nd quarter. Kealy tossed a 25-yard touchdown to wide out Jonathan Boone and after the extra point, Freedom was up 14-7.

After a 1-yard touchdown run by Smith, it was Braves running back Darnell Burton's turn to show what he can do with the ball. Burton took the rock 32 yards to pay dirt, putting the Braves on top 21-14.

But Kealy drove his Patriot offense down the field their next drive, tying the game up at 21 with a 1-yard touchdown run.

After another Brave touchdown that gave them a 7 point lead in the 4th quarter, Kealy and Boone hooked up for their second touchdown of the night, but Freedom did not convert the 2-point conversion.

Boone would go on to milk the clock and get their first win of the season topping Freedom 28-27.
