BOSTON -

In the wake of the deadly Boston Marathon bombings, victims and runners are criticizing the auction of medals on eBay.

Several listings for medals from the 2013 Boston Marathon have been found on the auction web site since the deadly bombings on April 15.

As of Wednesday morning, one listing remained. The seller claims to be working with eBay's charitable giving program and promises to donate 100 percent of the proceeds to American Red Cross of Eastern Massachusetts.

USA Today reports previous auctions sought up to $1,000 for the medal. However, most of the medal auctions ended without a buyer.

eBay told USA Today all "questionable" listings are reviewed and sellers are not allowed to profit from human tragedy.
