Boy, 2, run over by SUV after darting into road, troopers say

84-year-old driver likely won't face charges in Kissimmee crash

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - A 2-year-old boy was airlifted to an Orlando hospital Tuesday evening after his legs were run over by an SUV, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Isiah Roberts, of Kissimmee, was struck around 7:30 p.m. at Vista Del Lago Boulevard and Irlo Bronson Highway.

According to the FHP, the SUV, being driven by 84-year-old Robert Pringle, of New Jersey, was traveling on Vista Del Lago when Isiah, who was being pushed in a stroller by his father, darted into the path of the vehicle.

The front right of the SUV ran over Isiah's legs, troopers said.

The boy was airlifted to Arnold Palmer Hospital and is expected to recover.

Pringle likely won't face any charges.
