VATICAN – A young boy wandered past security to get on stage with Pope Francis during an event in front of thousands of families at Vatican City.
His unexpected appearance happened during an event over the weekend to celebrate the Year of Faith.
In the video, a security guard offers candy to the little boy as a bribe to get him off stage. However, he wasn't interested.
Instead, the boy lingers in front of the crowd of thousands, and gives the Pope a big hug. Pope Francis took it all in stride and finished his speech.
